YouTube last month launched an important update for the creators’ community – the ability to change the channel name and profile without affecting their Google account. Earlier, changes to the channel name reflected on your other Google services, such as Gmail. So, read on to find out how to change YouTube channel name without changing Google account name, but know here that there is a bit of danger involved.
Essentially, creators can now keep a single Google account and have different profiles-sorts on Gmail, YouTube, and other services. It also does away with the problem of creating another Gmail ID to own a new channel name.
The YouTube update, however, comes with a caveat – creators may lose the verification badge (if verified) following the name of the channel. But, it does not mean creators cannot re-apply and re-gain the verification badge.
